Capturing the Intimate Charm of Taylor & Ethan's Micro Wedding at Lake Crago Park, Lakeland, FL
As a Lakeland area wedding photographer, I am always thrilled to capture the special moments of a couple's big day. But there's something particularly magical about small, intimate affairs like the one I had the pleasure of shooting for Taylor and Ethan at Lake Crago Park. With a close knit group of friends and family in attendance, the love and joy in the air was palpable.
Lake Crago Park: The Perfect Backdrop for a Micro Wedding
The venue itself was nothing short of stunning. Lake Crago Park is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Lakeland, FL, with lush greenery and sparkling water as the perfect backdrop for the couple's vows. Love this venue so much I included it on my list of Best outdoor venues in Lakeland! Taylor and Ethan chose a beautiful, sunny morning in January for their nuptials, and the natural light was absolutely breathtaking. There is a gorgeous amphitheater overlooking the dock and the lake with a large pole which Taylor and her mom had Flower's by Edith decorate with the most vibrant spring colored flowers.
Fresco's of Lakeland: Catering the Perfect Vegetarian Version of Beef Wellington
One of the things I love most about being a Lakeland wedding photographer is that I get to work with all kinds of amazing local vendors. Fresco's of Lakeland did an incredible job catering the event, and I have to give a special shoutout to their heavenly version of beef wellington - except instead of beef, they used acorn squash to accommodate Taylor's vegetarian lifestyle. It was absolutely delicious!
Taylor and Ethan's story is one of those sweet, serendipitous romances that make you believe in fate. They met in high school but didn't begin dating until a few years after graduation, when they ran into each other while Ethan was performing in his band at a local music venue, Union Hall. I had the pleasure of capturing some beautiful shots of Ethan serenading Taylor on stage, and it was clear that these two were meant to be together.
One of their favorite memories as a couple is hiking in the mountains of North Alabama together. They love exploring nature and spending time outdoors, and it was lovely to see that reflected in the details of their wedding day. From the wildflowers that decorated the tables to the butterflies pinned in Taylor’s hair,, nature was a big theme throughout the day.
Taylor and Ethan's micro wedding at Lake Crago Park was an intimate, sweet and magical affair. The venue was stunning, the food was delicious and the company of their loved ones was the perfect way to celebrate their love story that began in high school and blossomed into a lifetime of love and adventure. It was a sweet joy to be a part of such a special day and to photograph the memories that will last a lifetime. Wishing them all the happiness in the world!!
