As a Lakeland wedding photographer, I have captured many beautiful moments of love and joy. But Kirsten and Michael's wedding at Lake Crago's event venue was truly special. Not just because of the stunning location and delicious catering from Harry's Seafood Bar & Grill, but because of the incredible love story that brought these two wonderful people together.
Kirsten & Michael first met here in Lakeland at Florida Polytechnic University where they both attended school. At first, they were just friends and hung out all the time together. They started dating in May 2017, and by June 22nd, they were already facing a huge challenge. Kirsten's dad had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and was given only two years to live.
Michael was there for her every step of the way. He held her while she cried, supported her during her dad's illness, and helped her plan the funeral and burial service when her dad passed away in September 2020. It was during this difficult time that Kirsten realized that Michael was the one for her. He had shown her unwavering love and support, and she knew that he was the person she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
The proposal was just as magical as their love story. During a vacation in Bonaire, Michael took Kirsten to a secluded spot over the water to watch the sunset. As they sat on the rail, Michael pulled out a ring and asked Kirsten to marry him. It was a beautiful moment, filled with love and romance. Celebrating Love & Friendship at a Gorgeous Lakeland Wedding Venue
Their wedding at Lake Crago's event venue was just as magical. Lake Crago is a newer event space here in Lakeland and is quickly becoming one of my favorites. You can see one of my other recent weddings at this sweet venue here . It’s owned and operated by The City of Lakeland and it is lovely!! The amphitheater overlooking the lake provided a breathtaking backdrop for their vows, and the reception was filled with laughter, joy, and dancing. It was a celebration of love, friendship, and support, and I was honored to capture every moment with my camera.
