The Wedding of Heide & Ty at Covington Farm in Dade City, FL
Covington Farm in Dade City, FL was such a sweetly gorgeous location for Heidi & Ty’s heartfelt , emotional wedding last summer. The bridal suite and groom’s suite are light-filled and roomy enough for this Lakeland wedding photographer to get some amazing getting ready shots! The bridal suite has a large bed for those celebratory prewedding bride and bridesmaids shots and a huge area complete with wall mounted make-up tables and mirrors surrounded by lights for all the ladies to do their hair & make-up. The groom’s suite is ruggedly opulent with dark wood and antler accents, making for some wonderful photo options.
Heidi & Ty met three years ago when they were both attending the same Christian College in Tampa. It took a few mission trips and some late night phone conversations for Heidi to finally begin thinking of Ty as more than just a friend. The wedding was filled with friends and family from Florida and Alabama as the couple combined their lives together. So many happy tears and laughter throughout the day for me to photograph, so many hugs and smiles!
TheGrounds at Covington Farm in Dade City, FL
Just imagine giant stately old grandfather oaks, dripping and swaying with that grey-green Spanish moss that Florida is so famous for and the perfect white air-conditioned barn overlooking not one, but two lakes. Covington Farm is a working horse ranch nestled on 75 rolling acres in Dade City, FL. There is a chic outdoor ceremony sight set up like a chapel with church doors at one end and open window frames at the alter. Flowers and wedding photography locations are everywhere at this Dade City venue! There was even an old restored pick-up truck to pick up Heidi at the barn and deliver her straight to her waiting groom at the ceremony sight. Love, love, love that truck!
